Grenville village council is going to look exactly the same this term as it did for the previous four years.
On Sunday, November 2, incumbent Mayor Pierre Thauvette, who has served as Mayor since 2018, was re-elected with 359 votes, finishing with just a 12-vote win over challenger Sarah Lacasse Dwyer, who received 347 votes.
In the race for council Seat 2, incumbent André Woodbury was re-elected with 482 votes, which is 265 more than the 217 votes challenger David Massie received.
Incumbent Peter Dopelhamer was re-elected to council Seat 4 with 440 votes. Challenger Gaétan “Pirate” Carrière received 190 fewer votes and finished with a total of 250.
Incumbent Grenville Councillors André Lemay (Seat 1), Louis André Desjardins (Seat 3), Roger Lalonde (Seat 4), and Jocelyne Louis-Seize (Seat 6) were all acclaimed.
