Just about anything unwanted containing a circuit board was being collected by the Vankleek Hill and District Lions Club on Thursday, October 23.
The free E-Waste Collection Drive at 34 Wall Street allowed owners of unwanted electronics to safely dispose of them for free. Out of every pound of electronic waste collected, funds are paid back to the Lions Club and its various projects that benefit everyone in the community.
Lions Armand Lapierre and Robert Lapierre were supervising the collection as people emptied their cars and placed items on a trailer to be taken to Quantum Lifecycle Partners, the recycling company accepting the materials.
