For many local antique tractor owners, plowing is a recreational activity.
The annual John Allen Plow Day was held on Saturday, October 18 at the Howes Farm west of Vankleek Hill and attracted several farmers with antique tractors and plows.
The late John Allen, who died in 2022, started the annual plow day nine years ago as a way for farmers and antique machinery enthusiasts to gather and enjoy operating the equipment for its intended use.
