Do you want to finally get rid of that giant computer monitor from 1992 or that broken Lloyd’s brand stereo from the 1970’s? Clean out the electronic junk from your attic, garage and basement and take it to the electronic E-Waste Collection Drive on Thursday, October 23.

The Vankleek Hill and District Lions Club has again partnered with Quantum Lifecycle Partners to collect e-waste material free of charge. Out of every pound of electronic waste collected, funds are paid back to the Lions Club and its various projects that benefit everyone in the community.

Items that may be recycled include computers, printers, ink cartridges, telephones, stereos, headphones, speakers, cameras, drones, cables, electronic musical instruments, audio recording equipment, small appliances with an electric cord or circuit board, and power tools.

Electric vehicles, children’s toys containing electronics, and any textiles or stuffed articles containing electronic parts will not be accepted.

The E-Waste Collection Drive takes place from 10 am until 3 pm on Thursday, October 23 at 34 Wall Street in Vankleek Hill.
