As part of Fire Prevention Month, Saturday, October 11 was Open House day at the Hawkesbury Fire Station.

Visitors could tour the facility, look around inside the trucks, try on firefighting equipment, and play a series of games focused on firefighting and fire prevention. Firefighters were also providing information about how to prevent fires in their homes and workplaces.

Open Houses at the Champlain Township fire stations in Vankleek Hill and L’Orignal are happening on Thursday, October 16 from 5 pm to 9 pm.
