Champlain Township Public Library invites everyone to celebrate Ontario Public Library Week, taking place from October 19 to 25. This year’s theme, Libraries for Life, highlights how libraries support people at every stage of life.
From Storytimes and after-school programs for children, to craft sessions, author talks, and movie nights for adults, the library offers something for everyone. Our spaces reflect this growth too with welcoming areas for kids, teens, and adults, including a dedicated Teen Room, a Large Print Section, and a wide collection of books, audiobooks, and digital resources.
The library also makes daily life easier. Patrons can access free Wi-Fi, computers, and printing services, listen to audiobooks on the Libby app, read digital magazines, or explore new recipes with our cookbook collection. Families can enjoy movies and shows together through Kanopy Kids.
Champlain Township Public Library is proud to offer free memberships for all children attending school within Champlain, ensuring that every student has access to reading, creativity, and discovery.
To celebrate Ontario Public Library Week, anyone who joins or renews their membership during the week will receive a free book light and be entered into our Mystery Box contest for a chance to win a fun surprise.
“At every age, curiosity and learning are what connect us,” says Cynthia Martin, CEO of Champlain Township Public Library. “The library is a place where lifelong learning truly comes to life.”
Whether you’re joining a book club, exploring the night sky with the astronomy group, or discovering something unexpected on the shelves, the library is a place to learn, connect, and belong. Visit Champlain Township Public Library this October and see how your library can be for life.
