The 2025 Québec municipal elections are Sunday, November 2. The municipalities of Gore, Wentworth, and Mille-Isles will see several positions contested as voters head to the polls to elect their next councils and mayors.
Gore
The Township of Gore will elect a new mayor this year.
Mayor Scott Pearce, first elected in November 2004, is not seeking another term as Gore’s mayor. Pearce is also the Préfet (Warden) of the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil, the regional body overseeing multiple municipalities.
In January, longtime Mayor Scott Pearce announced he would not seek a sixth term.
Alain Giroux, Gore’s third seat councillor since 2013, Alexandre Larche (Équipe Synergie), and Ron Kelley (Équipe Kelley Team) are vying for mayor.
Seats one through six are also being contested.
Robert Emblem (Équipe Alain Giroux), Louis Martin (Équipe Synergie), and Alexandra Plouffe (Équipe Kelley Team) are vying for the first seat currently held by Daniel Leduc, following his move to seek the second seat.
The second seat is a three-way race between Debbie Lalumiere (Équipe Kelley Team), Julie Lapointe (Équipe Synergie), and Daniel Leduc (Équipe Alain Giroux).
Council’s third seat will have Guylaine David (Équipe Kelley Team), Sakina Khan (originally second seat councillor, Équipe Alain Giroux), and Isabelle Rheault (Équipe Synergie) contesting.
Fourth seat councillor Shirley Roy (Équipe Alain Giroux) is running for re-election and will be facing Cindy Bilodeau (Équipe Synergie) and Wendy Smith (Équipe Kelley Team).
Fifth seat incumbent Anik Korosec (Équipe Alain Giroux) is seeking re-election against Lucie Bellemare (Équipe Kelley Team) and Étienne Rondeau-Garon (Équipe Synergie).
The sixth seat currently held by incumbent Anselmo Marandola (Équipe Alain Giroux) is also a three-way race, with Kloée Chenel-Fournier (Équipe Synergie) and Nancy Bélanger running as well.
