In Saint-André-d’Argenteuil, only Districts Two, Three, and Six have more than one candidate vying for councillor positions in the Sunday, November 2 municipal election.
Mayor Stephen Matthews is seeking his second term as Saint-André-d’Argenteuil’s mayor after being first elected in 2021, contested by Marc-Olivier Labelle.
The acclaimed candidates are:
- District One: Pierre-Luc Lavallée
- District Four: Karène Guertin
- District Five: incumbent Audrey Paquette-Poulin, since November 2021
District Two has Kassandra Bouchard running against Jesse Racicot, while District Three’s incumbent Jacques Decoeur is seeking re-election against Pascale Bellemare. Decoeur served as District Three’s councillor from 2013 to 2017 and was re-elected in 2021.
District Six incumbent Pierre Fournier (elected 2021) will be facing Michel Larente for the seat.
District One councillor Michael Steimer, first elected in 2017, will not be seeking re-election for undisclosed reasons. District Two’s Patrick Côté and District Four’s Jessica Larivière, both elected in 2021, are also stepping down.
Advanced voting will take place on Sunday, October 26, from noon until 8 p.m. at the municipal office on 10 rue de la Mairie. Election-day voting will take place at the same location between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
