According to Hawkesbury Chief of Staff Jennifer Ashfield, 701 vehicles and more than 1,050 households participated in the Household Hazardous Waste Day. The exact quantities of various types of waste collected are not yet known.

Volunteers from École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury assisted with the collection as township residents dropped off hazardous waste materials such as pesticides, automotive products, paints, and batteries.

Vehicles lined up throughout the day as residents took advantage of the free disposal event.
