The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment in Alexandria will be closed temporarily while the parking lot is resurfaced, but police say services will not be impacted.
Work on the lot is set to begin this Thursday, October 9, and the detachment’s closure is expected to last a week. Police say the detachment will reopen on October 16 depending on weather conditions and how construction goes.
OPP officers will continue to respond to calls in the area. Members of the public requiring police assistance are encouraged to contact the OPP Communications Centre at 1-888-310-1122. For non-urgent matters or administrative inquiries, you can visit the nearest OPP detachment or utilize online services at opp.ca. The closest detachment is located at 45 Pine Street in Lancaster.
