The Town of Hawkesbury has launched a communications survey.
This survey aims to better understand the communications needs of residents, community partners, and users of municipal facilities. The results will allow the town to adapt its communications and platforms to adopt a more inclusive dialogue that better aligns with the community’s expectations. This initiative comes from the Town of Hawkesbury’s strategic planning, in which service improvement is a key priority.
“I strongly believe that the quality of our communications reflects the strength of our connection with the community. This survey is a valuable opportunity to better understand your expectations, preferences, and ideas. Together, we can build a town that is more connected, more transparent, and more attentive to its citizens,” said Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Lefebvre.
This survey is part of a series of consultations initiatives the town has taken to better understand the needs, challenges, and expectations of its residents.
In 2024, two consultations were already initiated, focusing on strategic planning and asset management. By the end of the year, the town will have launched three additional consultation processes:
Urban planning development through a new official plan
Improvements to communications
Understanding expectations and needs related to infrastructure and recreational programming through the Parks and Recreation Master Plan
Residents will also be invited to complete various online surveys. In addition, an open house will be held on October 16 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., giving residents the opportunity to share their opinions on these three topics, learn more, and contribute their vision for the Town.
The survey is available on the Town of Hawkesbury’s website, under the Public Consultations and Surveys section; https://www.hawkesbury.ca/en/my-town/democratic-life/consultations.
