The Hawkesbury Jr. A Hawks kicked off their local season Friday evening, September 19, 2025, at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex. Before the game against the Renfrew Wolves, the Hawks’ organization paid tribute to the late Richard Morris, a man who was deeply involved in the world of junior hockey throughout his life. Before the official puck drop, the owner of the local team, Sylvain Landers, presented Robert Lefebvre, representing the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank, a cheque donation from the team.
Unfortunately for the local fans, the Hawks were shut out 4-0 on their local season opener game. However, the game on Saturday night, September 20, was much more exciting for the spectators. The Hawks snatched a 7-6 victory over the Smiths Falls Bears thanks to an overtime goal from Xavier Lacoste.
