On Saturday, September 27, Cammac Ottawa-Gatineau is hosting a free, all-day series of workshops at La Maison du patrimoine de Grenville in Grenville.No prior experience is required for the workshops, which include percussion, choral singing, and introductory harp sessions. All instruments are provided, though attendees can bring their own djembes and tam tams. Advance registration is required, and a full schedule can be found on their website.  

Choral Singing (space still available)

Discover the magic of singing in a choir! This workshop focuses on simple, memorable canons that participants learn by ear – no musical reading skills required. Experience how quickly a group of strangers can create something beautiful together through the power of song.

World Percussion (space still available)

Get into the groove with djembes, congas, bongos, and other hand percussion from around the world. Learn rhythmic patterns and experience the fun of creating an energetic ensemble sound. No prior experience is required, and all the instruments are provided, although you’re welcome to bring your djembes and tam tams if you like!
