A section of Route Principale in Wentworth will be closed for culvert repairs in the week ahead and drivers will face a long detour.
According to the Québec Ministère des transports et de la mobilité durable, the work will take place on the section of Route Principale facing Lac Edmond, about 375 metres south of Chemin du Lac-Capri. The work is expected to last approximately one week and will begin on September 22.
The work will result in the complete closure of Route Principale at the culvert. A major detour for users, totaling approximately 80 kilometers, will take place via Montée Sainte-Marie, Route 364, and Route 327, before finally returning to Route Principale.
The work may be extended, canceled, or postponed due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Drivers are advised to check Québec 511 for updates on road closures and detours.
