On Tuesday, September 9, Grenville-sur-la-Rouge (GSLR) council approved a waste removal contract for 2026 valued at $316,797.40 plus applicable taxes, a decrease of $47,439.90, or about 13 per cent, from the 2025 contract.
Transport Sanitaire Hayes Inc., which does not handle recyclable materials, will continue handling the collection of organic and residual waste. The company has provided the service since November 2023, with GSLR council choosing to renew the contract annually.
Council approved the contract renewal unanimously and without discussion.
