Grenville council continues to demand better maintenance of Route 344/rue Maple through the village.
Council has previously urged drivers to direct their complaints about the poor condition of the busy road to the Ministère des transports et de la mobilité durable.
In recent weeks, the ministry has been making large patch repairs to the roughest parts of the road. Grenville council has adopted a resolution requesting that the Director-General request a meeting between village representatives and the minister of transport to discuss the poor condition and maintenance of Route 344/rue Maple in Grenville.
Watch for children
Council has received a complaint about excessive speed by drivers in the area of rue Ronald and cercle Grenier. The complainant requested signs be installed to warn drivers of children playing in the area. Council has voted in favour of installing signage and to inform the Sûreté du Québec that more speed enforcement is needed in the neighbourhood.
