Champlain Library is the place to be this summer, with something fun for everyone! The Summer Reading Club is in full swing, our outdoor StoryWalks have returned, and there are still three exciting talks left in our Kids Talk series.

Don’t miss our new Kids’ Chess Club, happening every fourth Thursday of the month. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, it’s a great way to challenge your mind and make new friends!

The next speaker in our Kids Talk series is Senpai Brian. Join him on July 26 for Karate Talk, where he’ll introduce kids to the history and fun of martial arts.

StoryWalks are back! Stroll through Samuel Reilley Park in St-Eugène on July 29 or Sasha’s Park in L’Orignal on August 12 to enjoy Let’s Go! by Julie Flett. The story is displayed page by page in both English and French along a path, perfect for families who love reading and the outdoors.

Curious about plants? Don’t miss our Dandelion Talk on July 31, when Nordic Gardens will reveal the hidden wonders of this often-overlooked flower.

For our youngest readers, we’re hosting Storytime in the Park on August 5 at Mill Street Park in Vankleek Hill. Kids 0-5 can join our Children’s Librarian for bilingual stories, a craft, and snacks.

Capture your summer memories on August 11 by creating your own Time Capsule at either L’Orignal Chalet-Abri in the morning or the library in the afternoon. Bring a small keepsake of your summer and take home something to treasure.

And finally, celebrate all your summer reading with our Summer Reading Club Wrap-Up Party on August 13 at Ouimet Farms! There’ll be animals from Meet the Keepers, plus prizes and awards for our awesome readers.
