Lachute en fête, the annual festival of music and fun in the centre of town, is taking place on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 at Parc Barron.

In addition to great live entertainment, the festival includes a fun zone for the whole family, a picnic and relaxation area, as well as kiosks offering refreshments and food.

Access to the site and the shows are completely free.

Along with the fun zone under Parc Barron’s tall trees, on the main stage Friday night beginning at 5 pm is the Red Carpet Band, followed by King Melrose. At 8:30, get down with your bad self with the Boogie Wonder Band. If you like the nightlife and like to boogie on the disco ‘round, this band is for you as they perform all of the disco standards of the 1970’s.

Lachute en fête continues Saturday beginning when the fun zone opens at 1 pm. There is a chemistry magic show for family entertainment there during the afternoon.

Live music on the main stage begins at 5 pm on Saturday starting with the Passion Rock N’ Blues Band. The Lost Fingers follow, and the evening’s live entertainment will be completed by Les Trois Accords.
