The Employment Services Centre of Prescott-Russell (CSEPR) continues to reward high school graduates who plan to pursue their careers in the region once they complete their post-secondary education.

On Wednesday, July 9 in Hawkesbury, CSEPR awarded the 2025 Job Succession Scholarships to 11 graduates of high schools across Prescott-Russell. As a condition of receiving the $5,000 scholarship, each student has committed to remaining in the region for work after graduation.

“We are very proud of this program,” said CSEPR Chair Karl Portelance.

He said it is exciting to know the recipients will return to the region and contribute to the community.

Employment Counsellor Andréanne Laflamme explained how each scholarship recipient was selected based on the merits outlined in their applications.

“It takes preparation and commitment,” Laflamme said.

CSEPR Executive Director Caroline Arcand said it is good to see young people having the incentive to work locally.

“Thank you for coming back to Prescott-Russell,” she told the scholarship recipients.
