A woman was arrested after police seized methamphetamine, contraband items, and weapons at a home in Lachute.
On July 4, Sûreté du Québec officers conducted a search of a residence on rue Ayers and seized more than 40 methamphetamine pills, cannabis, more than 200 contraband cigarettes, an extendable baton, and a prohibited weapon.
A 40-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and later released. She will appear in court at a later date, where she could face charges related to narcotics, illicit cannabis, and violations under the Tax and Tobacco Act.
The operation stems from an investigation initiated following information received from the public. The Sûreté du Québec reminds that any information relating to the trafficking or production of narcotics can be communicated at any time, confidentially, to the Sûreté du Québec Criminal Information Center at 1 800 659-4264.
