For the past three years, when Christopher Proulx of Vankleek Hill prepares his #90 Mini-Stock, he does it for victory. This year, he is doing it with a dual objective: Christopher is not only aiming for the Mini-Stock championship at Cornwall Motor Speedway, but he also has the goal of raising funds for a worthy cause, the “Ride for Dad.” The goal is to raise funds for prostate cancer research. The #90 Mini-Stock team will be donating all of its prize money from this season to this cause.

Richard LeBlanc, co-owner of the team and crew chief, explained, “Both our families and close friends have faced the ravages of cancer. From there, the idea was born to use the money from our races to invest in the cause of this relentless enemy. We partnered with Levac Propane, Gaêtan Champagne, and Charles-Olivier Gauthier, each of whom will match the total funds raised by Christopher.”

During Christopher Proulx’s perfect performance last Sunday, June 22 at Cornwall Motor Speedway, the Vankleek Hill resident won back-to-back mini-stock finals.

The #90 Mini-Stock team is challenging its rivals to join it in contributing to prostate cancer research by also donating their racing purses to the “Ride for Dad.”
