A series of repairs, renovations, and replacements are being made to municipal facilities and infrastructure in Brownsburg-Chatham.

On June 3, town council adopted a resolution for a contract to make concrete repairs to the front of the public library at a cost of $20,900.

Two items at the Aréna Gilles-Lupien in Brownsburg are being replaced. On June 3, Brownsburg-Chatham council approved the replacement of the evaporator condenser at the arena at a cost of $16,168. The machinery is part of the refrigeration system. Director-General Jean-François Brunet said the machine currently in the arena is not repairable at a reasonable cost.

The second item being replaced at Aréna Gilles-Lupien is a new gas-powered edger for the ice surface. Brunet said the current edger is also beyond repair. The new device will cost $7,060.

New equipment is also being purchased for the municipal marina and campground. On June 3, council approved the allocation of up to $40,000 for two new electrical transformers for the marina. Up to $7,000 was also allocated for new heat pumps for the campground office and the marina building.
