The first local agricultural fair of the season begins this Friday, June 20, in Maxville.
The Maxville Fair, presented by the Kenyon Agricultural Society, continues until Sunday, June 22.
The Exhibition Hall opens on Friday, and there is entertainment by The County Lads that evening.
Saturday is a busy day at the fair. It includes the English Horse Show, Baby Show, volleyball tournament, and Corn Hole tournament. There are a series of activities for children throughout the day, including puppet shows, magic shows, a reptile display, and a pedal tractor pull. Mystic Highway, which performs the songs of Credence Clearwater Revival (CCR), is on stage Saturday evening.
On Sunday at the Maxville Fair, there is a free breakfast with fair admission that morning, presented by the Lions Club and Wever Financial. The Western Gaming Show and Antique Tractor Pull each begin on Sunday morning, along with the “Long Eared” Animal Show. There is a juggling show and Pet Show in the afternoon.
Other activities during the entire weekend include the Education Tent, Petting Zoo, and a baseball tournament.
