Nature is full of activity in the spring, and so is the Vankleek Hill District Nature Society.
On April 28, the society hosted guest speaker, Lyla Chiasson, from Perth. Chiasson spoke about her Passion for the Environment and Experiences with the Ontario Nature Youth Summit.
“Lyla was very motivated and inspiring and it gives one hope for future generations,” said Nature Society President Carol Tisdall.
The Vankleek Hill District Nature Society sponsored Chiasson’s attendance at the Youth Summit in September 2024. The financial contribution was facilitated by a donation to the Nature Society from the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Warden’s Fund when Champlain Township Mayor Normand Riopel served as Warden in 2023. Riopel attended the Vankleek Hill District Nature Society meeting on April 28.
