The Glengarry Encore Photo Club held an exhibition on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at the Sandfield Centre in Alexandria.

The photo club is just one of the local activities of Encore, which focuses on educational activities for senior citizens.

Local photographer Milo Smith is the Convenor of the photo club, which was started by the late Tony Chanel in 2014. The club meets once per month and currently has 11 people participating. Work from each of them was on display at the May 2 and 3 exhibition.

Smith said the club meets once per month.

“Usually, we share photos and discuss photos,” he said.

In addition to discussing photography and techniques, the photo club sometimes travels to locations around the region where there are good opportunities for photography, including the Moses-Saunders hydroelectric dam in Cornwall and the Long Sault Parkway.
