Spring has sprung and the Vankleek Hill and District Nature Society had a busy weekend.
There is no cinéma in Vankleek Hill, but the Creating Centre was transformed into one on Friday, April 25 for a screening of Common Ground, a 2023 film which explores how problems facing humans are also connected to the condition of the world’s soil. The screening was presented in collaboration with Eco East.
On Saturday, April 26, Nature Society Volunteers gathered to clean up some of the significant amount of trash that had unfortunately accumulated along the Prescott and Russell Recreational Trail in recent months.
