The City of Clarence-Rockland has appointed Martin Rousseau as the new Director of Protective Services.
Rousseau brings 37 years of senior management experience in personnel leadership, fire service administration, fire and life safety, standards enforcement, and executive policy development.
His expertise was obtained at the Department of National Defence, and was instrumental in strengthening fire and emergency services, enhancing public safety policies, and ensuring compliance with municipal, provincial and federal regulations.
In his new role, Rousseau will lead and manage the City’s fire services while also serving as Fire Chief for two neighbouring municipalities, including The Nation. In Clarence-Rockland, he will also oversee Municipal Law Enforcement and the Construction Department, playing a vital role in community safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
Rousseau began his new position on Monday, March 24.
