The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals in relation to recovered stolen vehicles.
On Tuesday, March 18, shortly before 7:30 a.m., officers recovered two stolen vehicles on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township. As a result, two individuals were arrested and charged. The 2023 Jeep JJD and 2023 Lexus RX were stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.
Mathys St-Amand, 19-years-old of Québec, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
A 16-year-old male from St-Alphonse Québec, was charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Flight from peace officer
The name of the second accused cannot be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall at a later date.
