An individual was arrested in Lachute following a vehicle collision with a utility pole.
At around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, January 28, Sûreté du Québec police officers were notified of a collision on Avenue d’Argenteuil in Lachute. The driver apparently lost control of his vehicle and then hit a Hydro Québec pole. After the usual checks, the police officers proceeded to arrest the driver. The 24-year-old man was arrested and kept in custody before being released on a summons to appear in court. The individual could face charges of driving while impaired by drugs and refusing to submit to an evaluation by an evaluating officer. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
