On Friday, February 7, the popular Caribbean music band Jab Djab returns to Arbor Gallery in Vankleek Hill for a concert that will help banish the winter blues!

Comprised of Wayne Stoute and brothers André and Ross Whiteman, Jab Djab is known for their unique style of Caribbean music, blending Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Compas, Zouk and African sounds on bass, guitar and drums.

Jab Djab’s debut album “Jump Up and Jam” was nominated for an ADISQ award in the World Beat category, and they’re featured on the Putumayo World Music compilation “The Caribbean”. The band’s singular name is inspired by a devil-like carnival character of the Caribbean islands, regarded as more mischievous than evil.

Jab Djab’s concert is made possible thanks to the sponsorship of METEC Metal Technology Inc., and it marks the first musical event at the Gallery’s new location, 103 High Street. The show starts at 7pm and doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $25 ($20 for Gallery members) and need to be reserved by calling (613) 678-6171 or contacting [email protected].
