The Nation Municipality has announced the St-Isidore’s participation in the Kraft Hockeyville 2025 competition! This contest offers an incredible opportunity for our community to come together and compete for a grand prize of $250,000 in arena renovations and the chance to host an NHL® Pre-Season hockey game. Three runner-up communities will also receive $25,000 for arena upgrades.
“Hockey is woven into the fabric of St-Isidore’s identity. Our arena is where we’ve made so many memories and where the next generation will create theirs. With your support, we can bring home the Kraft Hockeyville title and make sure our arena stays a hub for hockey and community life,” said The Nation Mayor Francis Brière.
The competition kicks off with the Nomination and Rally phase, running until March 2, 2025. During this period, our community members can submit stories about why St-Isidore deserves to be crowned the next Kraft Hockeyville champion. Judges will review submissions, calculate scores, and select the Top 4 finalists, who will then compete in a nationwide voting round to determine the grand prize winner.
Participate and earn points for St-Isidore by:
- Submitting a written or video story (10 points).
- Uploading up to five photos of the arena (3 points per photo).
- Leaving an encouraging note for the arena (1 point).
- Reacting up to 15 times with emojis on other submissions (1 point each).
“St-Isidore’s arena is a place where we come together, whether it’s for hockey, family events, or just to cheer each other on. This competition is our chance to show how much we care about our arena, and I encourage everyone to get involved. Let’s bring the Kraft Hockeyville title to St-Isidore!” said The Nation Ward 2 Councillor Alain Mainville.
Major arena renovations are planned in 2025, and the $250,000 grand prize from Kraft Hockeyville would allow the municipality to address these critical needs, starting with the dasher boards and glass to enhance safety and durability for years to come.
