The school day may now include a wash, rinse, and spin cycle at Pleasant Corners Public School (PCPS) near Vankleek Hill.
The Bates family, Vera Page, and Malaket in Hawkesbury have provided a washing machine and clothes dryer for the school. The addition of laundry facilities at PCPS will make it possible to ensure sports uniforms and other classroom supplies are always kept clean. The machines also will be there for students’ families in need, ensuring the washing can always be done for everyone. Learning how to properly do laundry is also an important life skill for students to learn.
