Garbage collection rates are remaining the same in 2025 for East Hawkesbury residents.
On Monday, January 13, East Hawkesbury council confirmed that the 2025 garbage service rate would remain unchanged for residents.
Owners and occupants of residential land situated within the township will be charged $180 per unit beginning January 1, 2025. The flat rate will be collected annually in the same manner as municipal taxes and will be used to cover collection and disposal charges within the region.
For those individuals who own more than one unit, they will be charged $180 multiplied by the number of units being serviced.
