Royal Canadian Legion Branch 423 in Alexandria has contributed $15,000 to the Perley Health Foundation. Perley Health, known for many years as the Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre, is located in Ottawa and is home for 600 senior citizens and veterans living in independent apartments, or receiving long-term care. Perley Health is also a centre for education, research, and therapeutic services. The facility is named after former Member of Parliament and cabinet minister Sir George Perley.
