Held annually at the Municipal Campground, the 2024 edition of the Brownsburg-Chatham Festive Market drew a record-breaking crowd of more than 3,600 visitors on Saturday, December 14. About 60 vendors were lined along the fresh, snow-covered campsites for marketgoers to browse and shop for the holiday season.
Local crafts, products, and unique artistic creations were on full display this year as families and their K-9 companions could walk through the lit winter landscape alongside the Ottawa River.
Carolers, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and live musical entertainment by La Grand-Messe – Hommage au Cowboys Fringants also encouraged a warm and friendly atmosphere during the cold.
“I am proud to see that the Marché Festif has become a must-see event in our region, and I am deeply touched by the many collaborations that made this event possible and that demonstrate our community’s commitment,” Brownsburg-Chatham Mayor Kévin Maurice stated.
Due to the high demand and interest in the annual event, organizers are already beginning to prepare for the 2025 iteration scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Interested individuals are encouraged to mark the date well in advance on their calendars to ensure they do not lose out on the unmissable holiday event. Additionally, a survey will be made available on the Brownsburg-Chatham website in the next few weeks to gather feedback and commentary on how to improve for the next edition.
