The Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil has contributed $5,000 to Opération Nez rouge (Red Nose) Argenteuil.
The service offers rides home to impaired individuals during the Christmas season as a way of keeping impaired drivers off of area roads.
The service will be provided for a total of nine evenings in Argenteuil this season. It is offered every Friday and Saturday in December, in addition to Tuesday, December 31.
For a ride or to volunteer, call 450 562-4111, email [email protected], or visit www.operationnezrouge.com/fr/fiche-benevole/argenteuil.

Use of the Opération Nez rouge service is free, but donations are collected from users, along with contributions from sponsors. In addition to making the roads safer during the holiday season, funds raised help Club Richelieu Lachute support youth and amateur sports. In 2024, the club donated $50,000 to the city of Lachute for the installation of the new pump track at Parc Bernard-Guay, largely with funds raised from Opération Nez Rouge Argenteuil. This year, Club Richelieu has committed to donating half of the funds raised by Opération Nez Rouge to the Maison de la famille Au cœur des générations for its Milieu de vie project.
