Citizens of Lachute are invited to submit and then select community-oriented community projects for the city’s 2025 Participatory Budget. There are no specific themes this year, so residents are invited to use their imagination and submit any type of project, whether recreational, cultural or environmental in nature.

The submission period ends on October 4, 2024.

The total budget for the 2025 participatory budget is $32,000. Citizens can register their project in one of two categories:

Component 1: A community project with an estimated value of between $1 and $10,000.

Component 2: A community project with an estimated value of between $10,001 and $22,000.

“We are all the more pleased with the winning projects from previous editions of the participatory budget, and we look forward and hope to see a large number of citizens submit their projects this year,” said Mayor Bernard Bigras-Denis.

Citizens and organizations wishing to submit a project must fill out the project form available on the aucoeurdelachute.ca website, or in hard copy at the reception desk at city hall. To find out more about the 2025 participatory budget and fill out the form, visit aucoeurdelachute.ca.
