Horses eat oats and hay, but people love corn-on-the cob in the midsummer.
The Refuge Les Chevaux d’Espoir horse refuge near Hawkesbury is hosting a Country Corn Roast to raise funds for the not-for-profit facility on Saturday, August 24. There will also be hotdogs and hamburgers available along with live country music entertainment and artisans selling their products.
The Country Corn Roast takes place from 11 am to 5 pm on August 24. Refuge Les Chevaux d’Espoir horse refuge is located at 270 Pattee Road, outside Hawkesbury.
