For the past three Vankleek Hill Fair demolition derbies, Maxime Lalonde has won in the six to eight-cylinder engine category. He is hoping for another win at the 2024 derby, but with a four-cylinder engine instead. This time, his car is a 2001 Toyota Camry.
“I got into the derby at age 21 because I always watched it when I was young and wanted to improve my mechanical skills and continue doing it because its the best adrenaline rush you can get. And I want to try to continue my winning streak,” Lalonde said.
