Remember those fun car rallies as activities for clubs and organizations? The Chambre de commerce et d’industrie d’Argenteuil (CCIA) is hosting the Rallye de la CCIA on August 22 to promote businesses that are members of the local chamber of commerce.
The event begins and ends from Parc Desforges in the centre of Grenville and has been organised in partnership with with Loisirs Grenville, the village’s recreation commission.
By crisscrossing the roads of the MRC d’Argenteuil, participants will have the chance to visit a range of CCIA members who will have gone the extra mile to help discover their businesses through a fun race.
Marilou Laurin of the CCIA said the car rally format allows as many people as possible to participate. She said staff from other local businesses are welcome to enter as a team building exercise.
This is the first time the CCIA has decided to organize a car rally to promote its member businesses. There are 229 businesses which are members of the CCIA. At least 15 businesses are participating as stops on the rally.
Activities on agriculture, art, entertainment, food, history, and heritage are part of the Rallye de la CCIA. Participants will also get to vote for their favourite stop on the tour. The Rallye de la CCIA will end with a large gathering where everyone will meet, socialize, and eat. The winning teams will take their places on the podium and the various prizes will be awarded.
The registration fee is $50 per team*, with a $25 discount in CCIA Dollars, to spend during the CCIA Rally. *1 car = 1 team.
