Arbor Gallery in Vankleek Hill announced two events: “Mosaic” and The Rural Sketchers of Eastern Ontario Inaugural Meeting. Both are open to the community and are free of charge to visitors. Details are as follows:
“Mosaic” Exhibition Finissage
July 28 marks the final day to view the “Mosaic” exhibition, which launched during Indigenous History Month. The exhibition showcases the works of artists Rita Iriarte, Pam Cailloux, Lise Perras, and Hélène Roy. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists and delve into the inspirations behind their captivating pieces.
Adding to the event, the Rockland-based women’s drum circle “Beside The Water” will perform. The event takes place at Arbor Gallery, located at 36 Home Avenue in Vankleek Hill, on July 28 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
The Rural Sketchers of Eastern Ontario Inaugural Meeting
Arbor Gallery, in collaboration with local award-winning artist Crystal Beshara, announced the inaugural meeting of The Rural Sketchers of Eastern Ontario. Participants will draw, sketch, or add colour while working in the age-old tradition of field journaling. Participants must bring their own art materials.
This event will be held at the scenic flower farm, White Barn Blooms, which organizers describe as a perfect setting for artistic inspiration. It is located at 4501 Pearl Road in L’Orignal.
The inaugural meeting will be held August 4 from 3 pm to 5:30pm. Everyone ages 16 years and older are welcome. Admission is free but pre-registration is required by emailing [email protected].
