The Maxville Fair is the earliest in the region each year and it is taking place from Friday, June 21 to Sunday, June 23.

On Friday, June 21, the exhibition hall opens and the big entertainment highlights of the day are the Amazing Race Challenge sponsored by local farmers, and a dance that night headlined by The County Lads.

A full day of activities and fun is planned for Saturday, June 22. 4-H Showmanship and the English Horse Show are the main features involving livestock. There are also demonstrations of wool spinning and rug braiding, the always popular baby show, and tug of war. The beach volleyball tournament is back for another year plus there are activities for children and education tent exhibits. A corn hole tournament, bingo, and evening dance are also part of Saturday’s activities.

The fair continues on Sunday morning, June 23 with a breakfast presented by the Maxville Lions Club, Western Gaming Show, and highland dancing. Hee Haw time at the fair also happens on Sunday with the Donkey Show. Activities for children also continue all day on Sunday.
