Community volunteers across Prescott-Russell were recently honoured with Ontario Volunteer Service Awards by Member of Provincial Parliament Stéphane Sarrazin from the provincial government for their contribution to community life. Among the volunteers who received awards are Vankleek Hill’s own 50 Proof for the band’s dedication to musical entertainment at many local events over the years. The members of 50 Proof are Thaila Riden, Gilles Lemieux, Reid Masson and Shawn Hayley.
