A baby food company in St-André-d’Argenteuil is the regional winner of a Québec-wide entrepreneurship contest.

At the regional level competition of the OSEntreprendre Challenge in Mirabel on May 1, Chunks won the title of regional winner in the business creation category, commerce component, and qualified for the Québec-level finals which take place on June 12 in Québec City.

The new company, launched by Kathryn Sawyer Lamouche, specializes in preparing homemade meals for toddlers, according to the DME approach (food diversification led by the child), which consists of the introduction of complementary foods in the form of pieces, rather than puréed.

In recent years, several companies from Argenteuil have made it to the Québec level of the challenge, including Constellations Inc., Sir John Brewery, and Ferme de la Roquette.

OSEntreprendre’s mission is to inspire the desire to undertake business to help build a proud, innovative, committed and prosperous Québec. It mobilizes a large network of partners in order to shine the spotlight on initiatives and inspire more people to take action.
