Six suspects in Brownsburg-Chatham, Lachute, and Hawkesbury were arrested for gang, drug, and firearms-related offences on Thursday, May 9.

The Sûreté du Québec, in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and the Service de police de la ville de Gatineau carried out the arrests on Thursday morning.

Maxime Séguin, 32 years old, Mathieu Berthiaume, 33 years old, Dominick Jarry, 47 years old, Jonathan-Léo Crooks, 33 years old, Kelly Ayotte-Deschamps, 27 years old, and Danika Ménard, 33 years old, were arrested and will appear in court in Saint-Jérôme on Friday, May 10 to face charges.

The investigation began in February following a series of arsons and incidents of violence and intimidation linked to the control of the sale of narcotics in this sector between two criminal organizations.

Police carried out searches in March in this case where they seized nearly 250 grams of cocaine, more than 15,000 methamphetamine tablets, more of $11,500 in cash, and two loaded 9 mm handguns.
