As of March 1, Glen Robertson residents will have to travel to Alexandria to pick up their large parcels and buy stamps from Canada Post.

According to Canada Post, for reasons beyond its control, the limited services postal outlet located at Wound Solutions in Glen Robertson will close at the end of the day on Friday, March 1. A notice has been posted to inform customers.

Canada Post looked for a new location within the community to host postal services and engaged with municipal elected officials on available options. Unfortunately, no replacement location was available.

Customers in Glen Robertson will continue receiving their mail and parcels at their community mailbox. Those boxes are located in front of St-Martin-de Tours Church. Retail services and items carded for pick up will be available at the Alexandria Post Office, which is about 12 kilometres away. The Alexandria post office is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Customers must provide a valid government-issued photo identification when picking up their mail and parcels.

Canada Post regrets any inconvenience this may cause. If customers have questions about their postal services, they can contact Canada Post’s Customer Service team online at canadapost.ca/support or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
