The water was much colder at Island Park in Alexandria on Saturday, February 17 for the 10th annual Polar Bear Dip. Participants braved the cold air and snowstorm and jumped into water that was even colder. The event raised $15,300 for the Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame. North Glengarry Mayor Jamie MacDonald, formally dressed in a suit, waded into the Mill Pond and then took the plunge into the icy water.
