The water was wild during the past week on the lower reaches of Rivière-Rouge.

During the afternoon of Sunday, April 23, the water was roaring over the rapids at various points in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. Earlier in the week, the Municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge had closed chemin de la Rivière-Rouge to all but local traffic due to flooding in some low-lying areas.

According to a Government of Québec flood monitoring station located near the chemin Walker Bridge, flooding levels were described as minor as of Sunday afternoon. During the previous week, they had been listed as minor.
