Champlain Township is looking to hire a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
The position was previously held by Paula Knudsen, from 2014 to November 2021. Since Knudsen’s departure, Champlain Township Treasurer Kevin Tessier has been filling in as Acting CAO.
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is the most senior, non-elected officer in the township’s administrative structure and is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the township. The CAO is appointed by and reports directly to council and is required to implement plans, policies, and projects, as approved by Council.
The CAO is also responsible for providing strategic leadership to the senior management team, overseeing the human, financial and physical resources of the township to ensure that council’s policies and directives are carried out. The CAO also represents the township as a key contributor for matters involving the province and other municipalities.
Qualified candidates are invited to apply through the township’s online application form before January 22, 2023, and must be available for an interview on February 1, 2023.
