To The Editor,

I feel like shouting: stop creating jobs, people don’t want them. We recently learned that more than 3,500 jobs are available in Prescott-Russell and cannot find takers. When I think that there are still a few dinosaurs in the region that support the construction of a cement plant in L’Orignal to keep young people here.

Do you really believe that young people will want to work at the heart of an industry that is one of the most polluting in the world? Our future will not go through the destruction of the environment, but rather through the protection of the territory. I hope that sensible voices will always be raised against projects that are devastating in terms of human health. It’s never too late to do the right thing. People of Ontario, wake up!
